SAP Note 968272 - Cannot delete cache mode due to termination

Component : Analyzing Data - OLAP Technology

Solution : https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/968272 (SAP Service marketplace login required)

Summary :
This SAP Note addresses an issue where calling a cache mode in transaction RSRCACHE can lead to an exception if the main memory cache directory is corrupt, preventing complete cache deletion. The root cause is the corruption of the basic cache memory directory, which is integral for setting up the cache monitor. The resolution involves implementing a solution that allows deletion of any cache mode without the function key to call the cache mode, alleviated by importing specific Support Packages for BW versions 3.0B, 3.10, 3.50, and 7.0. Each Support Package, listed with its identifying patch number, enhances the system's handling and stability relative to cache management issues.
