SAP Note 1269398 - Case-insensitive search in input help (F4)

Component : MasterData read services - Interface to Database

Solution : https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1269398 (SAP Service marketplace login required)

Summary :
This SAP Note addresses an issue where the case-insensitive search in the F4 input help for texts does not always function correctly. To resolve this, implement the provided correction instructions. Adjust the RSADMIN parameter with the SAP_RSADMIN_MAINTAIN program by setting the object to RSMD_RS_TXTSEARCH and the value to X. The fix involves using the UPPER function in SQL statements, allowing the database to manage uppercase/lowercase conversions in line with ABAP standards. This solution currently supports ORACLE, MSSQL, DB2 UDB for IBM i, and DB2 for LUW databases. Ensure reading Note 875986 before applying these instructions.
