SAP Note 976714 - Activating ACF tracing in the client

Component : Office and Graphics Integration -

Solution : https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/976714 (SAP Service marketplace login required)

Summary :
To enable client tracing for troubleshooting network, gantt, or office integration with StarOffice in SAP environments, users must utilize client-side Java Applets that can generate detailed traces in the Java console. To activate these traces, add "sap-wd-clienttrace=3" as an HTTP-GET parameter in the Web Dynpro Application URL, which will then display the traces upon refreshing the web page. Additionally, installing the enableTrace_api.jar file into the Java Runtime’s ext lib directory is required. For Java versions up to Java 6, the ext lib directory can be located by using the Java console 's' command within any applet.

Key words :
\program files\java\<jre release>\lib\ext, ext lib directory, lib/ext directory, coffee-cup symbol, sap-wd-clienttrace=3, /library/java/extensions, require client traces, java runtime version, web dynpro application, staroffice integration consists
