SAP Note 902951 - Invalid SSN range in W-2 self-sealer form

Component : Tax Reporter -

Solution : https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/902951 (SAP Service marketplace login required)

Summary :
After applying the YE 2005 phase I support package, a system issue arises where SSNs within the range 999-99-0001 to 999-99-9999 are flagged as invalid, converted to zeros or other placeholders as required. The Sapscript for the W-2 self-sealer form (HR_F_W2_MULT_SS) fails to convert these invalid SSNs to 'Applied for'. This is attributed to a programming error. To resolve this, users should apply the HRSP for their specific release or manually implement corrections with downloaded data files from Note attachments 13719 and 480180, available for R/3 releases 4.6C, Enterprise (4.70), and mySAP ERP 2004.
