Summary :
SAP Note 838866 addresses a runtime error RAISE_EXCEPTION with "OS_COMMIT_TOP_FAILED" which surfaces in drilldown reports or other reports within TR position management. Previously, an inefficiency in memory usage related to reporting was corrected in this Note, which incidentally exposed a redundant "empty" update in the TR position management system. This later modification led to the discussed program termination. The fix involves the elimination of these unnecessary update activities and can be applied directly through provided correction instructions or by importing the designated Support Package. Relevant program components include CL_OS_TRANSACTION, EXCEPTION_RAISER, and various others such as SAPMKCBR and RKEDU1ON.
