This behavior was due to the introduction of a 50-character field to accommodate longer country names, which affected various SAP releases and functionalities such as address formats in Form printing. The issue has been rectified in SAP_BASIS versions 7.00 and 6.40 with the correct abbreviated country names. Users have the option to manually configure this in the Customizing table T005T based on their requirements.
