SAP Note 743766 - Variances: no error message KV011

Component : Cost Object Controlling -

Solution : https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/743766 (SAP Service marketplace login required)

Summary :
When executing variance calculations in SAP, the system may generate a KV011 error for one manufacturing order but not for another, despite the orders appearing identical. This discrepancy occurs because the system checks if manufacturing orders with full settlement have been formally declared as "Technically completed" or "Delivered." If these statuses are not marked, KV011 error stating "Order does not have status DLV or TECO" appears. Orders can still engage in variance calculations if these statuses were previously marked but later revoked. This mishandling can lead to settlement discrepancies in Financial Accounting (FI) and Profitability Analysis (CO-PA). To avoid unintended variance calculations, maintain careful control over the status assignments of orders.

Key words :
system generates message kv011, seemingly identical manufacturing orders, undesired side effects, statuses 'fully delivered', solution production orders, status 'finally delivered', status 'variances determined', message kv011, manufacturing orders, system assumes
