Summary :
After implementing SAP Note 576160, users of the IS-OIL R/3 system experienced issues with mass maintenance transaction MM17. The note was aimed at enabling changes to IS-OIL-specific fields during mass maintenance by switching ALE inbound processing to use MESSAGE_TYPE 'OILMAT'. However, this change led to a system-wide failure in processing both standard and IS-OIL-specific fields due to missing IS-OIL subsegments when IDOCs are processed. The issue, due to a programming error, particularly affects scenarios where not all leading tables in IDOC hierarchy are selected during mass maintenance. An advance manual correction is recommended for resolution.
