SAP Note 383823 - MP38: Restriction according to materials

Component : Material Forecast -

Solution : https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/383823 (SAP Service marketplace login required)

Summary :
This SAP Note addresses limitations in transactions MP38 and WC26, which are used for forecasting activities limited to specific plants but lack material restrictions. The update introduces additional selection fields in the forecast interface, allowing for a more flexible approach by including plant and material restrictions. The solution includes modifications in reports RMPROG00 and RMPROG01, enhancing selection screens and correcting text symbols and selection texts. Key changes include handling plant-level and material-level forecast parameters and updating binding source code requirements. Post-implementation, careful handling of parallel processing jobs and possible database status issues, such as ORA-01555 errors, should be managed by adjusting the number of parallel jobs, increasing rollback segment sizes, or varying package sizes.
