Summary :
When adding or reallocating material components in SAP process or production orders (transactions COR1, COR2, CO01, CO02), the assigned supply area and storage location from the material master are not transferred to the reservation, nor retained after reallocation. This issue originates due to execution after initial Bill of Materials (BOM) explosion where allocations are handled correctly. Resolution requires a source code repair and the implementation of SAP Notes 372332 and 439711 to address these transfer inconsistencies.
