SAP Note 2129651 - Indexserver crash caused by inconsistent log position when startup

Component : SAP HANA DB Engines -

Solution : https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/2129651 (SAP Service marketplace login required)

Summary :
A consistency error between master and slave log positions was detected by the indexserver's log position consistency checker during a restart, leading to an automatic system crash. This issue stems from a bug in transaction ID management during normal shutdowns, where a transaction may remain open at the slave despite being closed at the master. Solutions include shutting down the application server before the HANA database or disabling the log consistency check temporarily. For affected systems, recovery up to the last shutdown or contacting HANA support is advised. Patches are released in revisions 85.02 and 92 to resolve this problem.
