Summary :
Following an upgrade or EHPI, SAP systems may prompt for a kernel replacement to a higher patch level in /exe or /exenew. This requirement arises during the TOOLVERSION_EXE phase if the Support Package installed demands a more recent kernel version. Users should refer to specific SAP Notes for guidance on kernel patch levels regarding their specific release. The solution involves downloading the necessary SAPEXE_.SAR and SAPEXEDB_.SAR files from the SAP Service Marketplace, unpacking these into the designated directories, and performing post-installation steps including repeating the "General checks" module to finalize the update.
