Summary :
SAP HANA Studio update from SPS5 to SPS8 encountered a program error causing certain features to be skipped, leading to the studio's failure to start post-update. The issue, identified in hdbinst_studio.log, prevents proper feature updates. As an interim solution, SAP advises uninstalling the previous studio version and installing the newer one directly, rather than updating. Uninstallation does not affect the workspace and user data. Commands for uninstallation and installation processes via command prompt or root shell are provided for both Windows and Linux systems.
