Summary :
In SAP environments, it's not uncommon for users to face challenges when trying to delete master data related to variant configurations, particularly when these data elements are linked with engineering change management (ECM). The inability to delete such data, despite all relevant configurations being set before the prescribed deletion date, stems from issues primarily associated with configurations from earlier releases (specifically Release 3.0/3.1) which did not save the configuration date. This report, effective from Release 4.5B, is designed to rectify this by determining the missing configuration dates using the owner data linked to the configurations, a necessary step outlined in the associated support packages. Prior to implementation, adherence to Notes 182627 and 183409 is required, followed by the creation of the "RCU_CHECK_IBIN_DATUV" report via Transaction SE38 for correcting the issue.
