Summary :
In SAP environments, the absence of the 'Get variant' button or the failure to display variant values in Transaction SE38 may occur due to improper setting of flags in the VARID table post an upgrade, especially from Release 3.x to 4.x. The issue may also arise from incomplete transport of VARIS entries within the 4.x releases. To resolve these issues, running the report RSVARIDVARIS, available on SAPSERVX, is recommended for upgrades, and for transport issues, verification and potential re-transport of VARIS entries are suggested.
