Component : SAP HANA database -

Solution : https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1645183 (SAP Service marketplace login required)

Summary :
SAP HANA's backup and recovery capabilities are enhanced with the introduction of Support Package Stack 3. This update introduces log backup and point-in-time recovery functionalities. Users must switch to the "normal" log mode to utilize the point-in-time recovery feature. Post-upgrade changes in log mode settings and service run levels are required, along with adjustments for data and log backup paths to ensure adequate disk space. Regular data backups and careful management of log backups are essential for effective recovery and performance optimization. Note that existing databases will not automatically switch to the new log mode after an upgrade.
