Summary :
When an availability check in a production order (excluding planned or sales orders) fails due to issues such as un-maintained checking groups in material masters or ATP server inaccessibility, the SAP system incorrectly sets the I0340 'MACM' (Material committed) status, even without a proper check. Additionally, I0420 'MANC' (Material availability not checked) status is wrongly reset post-Release 4.5A despite no availability verification. A programming error is identified as the cause. Corrections involve resetting statuses I0340 'MACM' and I0004 'MSPT' (Material shortage) following the dependency results of collective orders, also setting I0420 'MANC' for accurate status reflection. Relevant additional implementations for specific releases are advised including Notes 156775, 183202, and 195583.
