Summary :
The SAP Note addresses issues with the CS_BOM archiving object used to archive bills of material (BOMs) in SAP systems. Modifications have been made to the archiving and deletion processes in Releases 4.5A-4.6A, ensuring that bills of material can only be removed post-archival, adhering to security protocols. Users are cautioned against using transaction CS24 and reports RCSREDEL, RCSREDE5, and RCSREDE7 post-update. Comprehensive procedure notes are provided for revising logical databases and creating necessary program variants in the system. The updated transport file with new archiving programs is located in the noted SAP server directory, and legacy notes related to BOM archiving are nullified upon implementation of this note.
