When installing MaxDB client software on i5/OS for connecting to a MaxDB database from an ABAP stack or deploying a product using this setup like SCM application servers, a common error arises related to the absence of libperfstat.a in /sapdbas4/lib. Ensure the libperfstat.a file is available before installation. If missing, download libperfstat.zip from this note, extract it, and upload to the designated directory on i5/OS in binary mode. Creating the directory may be required if it does not exist. Refer to Note 1037016 for more on SCM and liveCache configurations.
