SAP Note 1031321 - Self-Registration of Adapter Engine and RWB fails

Component : J2EE Adapter Framework - Runtime Workbench / Monitoring

Solution : https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1031321 (SAP Service marketplace login required)

Summary :
After installing XI and initializing the J2EE engine, there may be issues with cache notifications or messaging due to XI entities not being read from SLD or an incomplete XI domain in the Runtime Workbench. This occurs if self-registration fails when the SLD is empty or running simultaneously with XI. To resolve, trigger offline self-registration of the Adapter Engine and RWB by accessing specific URLs and restarting applications. For XI versions 6.40 and 7.0, use the Visual Administrator; for PI versions 7.10 and onwards, use the Netweaver Administrator to administer the restarts, ensuring to check domain completeness in RWB and SLD subsequently.
