For the article and the site, listing conditions still exist for atleast one general assortment.

Procedure
Reset the listing conditions to the discontinuation date or deletethem.Then you can discontinue the article. To reset or delete thelisting conditions, choose transaction WSE6 (Report RWSORT48).
Note that ALL assortment users are affected by resetting or deletion ofthe listing conditions.
