SAP Message VO219 - Material/Plant &/&: no storage location found

Diagnosis
Within the respective document, an item was entered that containsmaterial &V1& and points to plant &V2&.
However, the respective item has no storage location, with the resultthat an automatic storage location search was executed.
From the above and other information, the system attempted to determinea storage location. This search was unsuccessful.
There are many reasons for this, and these include:

  • Putaway or stock removal process

  • Normal or promotional goods

  • Organizational units, such as plant and shipping point

  • Storage conditions of material

    • System Response
    The storage location is required in order to find the warehouse numberusing the plant. Since no storage location was found, no warehousenumber can be found either.
    The workload data is updated with the initial value for the feature'warehouse number'.

    Procedure
    Examine all parameters that are used for finding the storage locationby the rough workload forecast:

    • Shipping point

    • Plant

    • Indicator for storage conditions

    • Indicator for situation

    • Allocation-table-relevant

      • ' ' = not relevant for allocation table
      '1' = not relevant for allocation table: LVS (normal stock placement)
      '2' = not relevant for allocation table: cross-docking
      '3' = not relevant for allocation table: flow-through
      • Action

      • Indicator for stock placement/removal

        • 'E' = stock placement
        'A' = stock removal
        • Sales organization

        • Distribution channel

        • Division

        • Material number

          • Further important parameters are derived from the material number /plant:
          Indicator for temperature conditions
          Material group
          Transportation group
          Loading group
          • Delivery priority

          • Shipping conditions

          • Delivery type

          • Rule for determining storage location

          • Movement type

          • Batch number
