Diagnosis
Product selection could not completely confirm the requested deliveryquantity for the requested delivery date even when considering allalternative materials. There is still an open request quantity.Available materials after the requested delivery date are not includedin the product selection.

System Response
An alternative material can be declared as a requirements planningmaterial in the master data for material determination. If this is thecase, the requested delivery quantity in the sub-item of thisrequirements planning material is increased by the open remainingquantity, or a new sub-item is created in which the requested deliveryquantity equals the open remaining quantity. The system always createsa new item if the sub-item with the planning material is NOT the lastsub-item. If there is no declared requirements planning material, theopen remaining quantity is not included in any further materialsplanning.
