Diagnosis
No suitable communication type has been selected. This is due either toan error in Customizing or an incorrect selection by the user.

• The communication type that is appropriate for this contact category
(for example STMP for e-mail, printer in case of a letter) is notincluded in the selection, even though it is normally set as the maincommunication type.

• The communication type "stakeholder-dependent", which is the standard
communication type of the stakeholder, was the only one selected. Thismay lead to an unforeseeable send result if the communication type main
tained for a stakeholder is not compatible with the content of thiscontact. This is for example the case when the current contact is ane-mail with attachments while "SMS/Pager" is specified as the standardcommunication type for the stakeholder.

System Response
If possible, the system will open the selection dialog box again.Otherwise, the send process is canceled.

Procedure
Maintain appropriate communication types either in Customizing or inthe selection dialog box:


• The standard channel for each contact category must be contained in the
selection, if possible as the main communication type.

• If you choose "stakeholder-dependent", you need to specify additional
communication types. This allows you control over which communicationtypes are available for selection so that you can avoid theincompatibility mentioned above.
