Diagnosis In the planning layout you selected the indicator 'Planning incharacteristic hierarchy'. In manual planning a hierarchy is generatedby the system, which is defined by the sequence of characteristics inthe lead column. Example>: The first lead column contains the characteristic'Article group' and the second lead column contains the characteristic'Article'. There are the article groups 'AG1' and 'AG2' as well as thearticle 'A1' and 'A2'. The following values were entered: Article group,,Article,,Value Article group,,Article,,200 #,,#,,100 AG1,,Article,,50 ,,#,,20 ,,A1,,10 ,,A2,,20 AG2,,Article,,50 and so on. In this '#' stands for the characteristic value 'Not assigned'. In thischaracteristic hierarchy, the characteristic combination '# #'belongs to the total. The value entered to this combination correspondsexactly to the value that can still be distributed. Analogue the valuefor combination ' AG1 #' corresponds to the value that can bedistributed to the article within article group AG1. In other words: The value for '#' always corresponds to the differencebetween the cumulated values that were entered for concretecharacteristic values and the value to be distributed in total in thecorresponding hierarchy level. In this hierarchy of characteristics, for example the combination ofthe form '# A1' cannot occur. Threrefore it is not accepted by thesystem.System Response With a manual entry, the newly entered combination of characteristicvalues is not accepted by the system.
