SAP Message UMK223 - Error while reading industry from default BW system '&'

Diagnosis
Measure Builder cannot read the industries from default BW system '&V1&
'
There are two possible causes:

  • The default BW system '&V1&' cannot be accessed. The system is possibly
    • not active at the present time.
    • InfoObject '&V2&' has not been activated in the default BW system. The
      • industries are master data of this specific InfoObject.

      System Response

      • When displaying the measure, the industry list cannot be displayed. If
        • a measure is already assigned to an industry, you can only see the keyvalue of the industry, but no text.
        • When changing the measure, it is not possible to assign a new or
          • different industry.

          Procedure

          • Check whether the default BW system '&V1&' is correctly specified in
            • transaction 'UMC_DFTRFC'.
            • Check whether the default BW system can be accessed with transaction
              • 'SM59'.
              • Check whether InfoObject '&V2&' is activated in the default BW system.
                • You can do this using transaction 'RSD1' in the default BW system.
