SAP Message UMK222 - Error while reading the measure unit from default BW system '&'

Diagnosis
Measure Builder cannot read units from the default BW system '&V1&'
There are two possible causes:

  • The default BW system '&V1&' is not accessible. The system is possibly
    • not active at the present time.
    • The InfoObject '&V2&' has not been activated in the default BW system.
      • The units are master data of this specific InfoObject.

      System Response

      • When you display the measure attributes, you can only see the key value
        • of the units, but no text.
        • It is not possible to assign units to the measures.

          • Procedure

          • Check if the default BW system '&V1&' is correctly specified in
            • transaction 'UMC_DFTRFC'.
            • Check whether the default BW system is accessible with transaction
              • 'SM59'.
              • Check whether the InfoObject '&V2&' is activated in the default BW
                • system. You can do this with transaction 'RSD1' in the default BWsystem.
