As developer you have to take responsibility for smoothdelivery.Procedure Switch to role maintenance>, and make anadditional change to the relevant role> > that ensures automaticadaption of all appropriate registrations. This may involve a purelyformal change (such as saving a change and then cancelling it again). What matters is that the role receives a new time stamp> (tableUGMD1000, field TIMESTAMP) and that this role is central enough so thatall relevant registrations are actually entered by it later. Once you have maintained table UGMD2200 including a suitable rolechange, the master data framework automatically covers the adaptions toexisting registrations:
- Obsolete buffered field attributes are automatically updated.
- The newly assigned basis field is automatically registered in all
relevant databases if necessary .
- If necessary the DDIC structures are regenerated.
- The delivery case (upgrade or Support Package) is likewise covered.
