Diagnosis
V1 : one of the characteristic vleus is used in hierarchy v2 inhierarchy version &V3& as of &V4&. Consequently, you cannot delete &V1&.Deletion is only possible when none of the characteristic values isbeing used.

Procedure
If you want to delete the characteristic values of &V1& you first haveto change the hierarchy so that none of the characteristic values to bedeleted are being used.
Bear in mind that you are trying to delete several characteristicvalues. In this situation, it is not always at first clear which ofthese characteristic values in &V2& are used in the hierarchy versionV3 as of v4. if displaying v2 does not help you with this, thenyou can display the individual characteristic values of &V1& that youwant to delete, and then call up the Where-used list function foreach characteristic value. In this way you can determine which of thecharacteristic values is being used.
