Diagnosis
Characteristic value &V1& is used as hierarchy node &V3& in thehierarchy &V2& of BW system &V4&. Therefore, you cannot deleteV1. you can only delete it when the characteristic value is no longerused.

Procedure
If you want to delete &V1&, you must first change the hierarchyconcerned so that &V1& is no longer used.
However, other uses of &V1& can exist. After you have made changes tothe hierarchy, the system may display another use during the nextdeletion attempt. You need to delete all uses displayed. Then you candelete &V1&.
