Characteristic &v1& has time-dependent master data or hierarchies.
The assigned fiscal yearvariant determines how time-dependent master data and hierarchies aretransferred to connected BW systems. Any change made afterwards cancause severe inconsistencies or even runtime errors - especially if dataalready exists - because time references may be shifted or invalidated.

Procedure
If the new fiscal year variant is not compatible to existing data, youneed to delete and recreate or reimport all old master data andhierarchies that are affected.
Note: The default fiscal year variant K4 is used forcharacteristics without their own fiscal year variant.
