V4 is to be carried forward to v1.
V1 has a required breakdown by subassignment v2 with breakdown type3 or 4. Subassignment &V2& belongs to a characteristic compound withcharacteristic &V3&. A fixed value is defined in the breakdown categoryof the item for characteristic &V3&. In the data record to be carriedforward, characteristic &V3& either has no value or has a value that isnot equal to the fixed value, even though &V4& has the same fixed valuefor characteristic &V3& as &V1&.
A possible reason for this may be that in the old fiscal year, &V4& hadno breakdown by subassignment &V2&, or had a breakdown with a differentfixed value for characteristic &V3&. It is not possible to change thefixed value of characteristic &V3& with breakdown type 3 or 4 for thedependent subassignment &V2& because no value can be determined for thesubassignment in conjunction with the new fixed value.

Procedure
For the old fiscal year, change the values for subassignments &V3& andV2 in all data records for v4 (for example, in one of the specialperiods). When doing this, you should change independent characteristicV3 to the value that is defined as the fixed value in the breakdowncategories of &V1& and &V4&.
Then you will be able to run the balance carryforward.
