Diagnosis **** NOTE: This text is similar to UCF9003 **** (careful: variables are different) **** V1/V2+V3 are replaced with a characteristic name + its value **** **** E.g., consolidation unit ABC, or FS item 123 **** V1 v3 is to be carried forward to v1 v2. V1 v2 has a required breakdown by subassignment v4 with breakdowntype 3 or 4. However, the record to be carried forward does not have avalue for this subassignment, even though &V1& &V3& has a requiredbreakdown. A possible reason for this may be that &V1& &V3& had no breakdown oronly an optional breakdown by subassignment &V4& in the old fiscalyear, and hence the subassignment has no value. In this case, it is notpossible to switch the breakdown to required with breakdown type 3 or 4because no value can be determined for subassignment &V4&. Procedure If &V1& &V3& had no breakdown or had an optional breakdown bysubassignment &V4& in the old fiscal year, you can do the following:
- If there was previously no breakdown>, first you must change the
breakdown type to "optional" and supply a value for the subassignmentin the old fiscal year for all data records with &V1& &V3& (forexample, in one of the special periods). Once this is done, you can usethe balance carryforward to change the breakdown to "required" withbreakdown type 3 or 4.
- If there was previously an optional breakdown>, you must supply a
value for the subassignment in the old fiscal year for all data recordswith &V1& &V3& in which the subassignment is initialized (for example,in one of the special periods). After this is done, you can use thebalance carryforward to change the breakdown to "required" withbreakdown type 3 or 4.
