Diagnosis
The settings for global goodwill are inconsistent with regards to thetreatment of (negative) goodwill. This can have the following causes:

• Ordinary amortization of (negative) goodwill was activated, but the
start date and/or the life of amortization is missing.

• Periodic reduction of (negative) goodwill was activiated, but the start
date and/or the life of the reduction is missing.

Procedure
Go to Customizing for "Goodwill Global" and specify the start date andthe life of the amortization or reduction.
