Diagnosis
You have entered an alternative portion in the contract. If thiscontract has a budget billing plan, this budget billing plan must beadjusted using transaction EA65 (adjust budget billing plans to changedbilling dates). After this adjustment, the end of the billing periodcorresponds with the current valid billing period. This is importantfor determination of the budget billing periods when creating a newbudget billing plan.
The system does not check whether the data for the meter readingschedule records (see meter reading unit in installation) correspondswith the billing schedule records for this alternative portion.
If you enter an alternative portion in the contract, the system doesnot check whether this alternative portion has the same period lengthas the original portion. The original portion is specified in the meterreading unit in the installation.
After you have entered the alternative portion, the system performsuser-defined checks to see whether the contract is billed and invoicedwithout problems.

Procedure
Compare the period length of the alternative portion with originalportion &V4&.
If you want to use the alternative portion despite the different lengthof the portion, you must change the allocation of the meter readingaccordingly in installation &V2&.
The period lengths of the meter reading unit and the alternativeportion must be the same.
If there is a current meter reading plan, you must adjustbudget billing plans to changed billing dates after you have enteredand saved the alternative portion in the contract.
