Diagnosis You are trying to delete a publication for which there are subscriptiongenerators. To avoid inconsistencies a publication can be deleted onlyif the dependent subscription generators are deleted before. Procedure Set the active flag of the mentioned subscription generator and allother dependent generators to 'D'. The next time the subscription agentwill run, it will ensure that all generated subscriptions and thegenerated links to sites will be deleted. If all generated objects ofthe subscription generator are deleted the generator will be deleted. If all dependent subscription generators and by hand createdsubscriptions are deleted (this has to be done manually), the deletionof the publication will be allowed. On all target systems which will be supported by transports thebehaviour is different, because the publication deletion is not donemanually. Existing subscriptions for a publication to be deleted willprevent the generation of the publication. The manually createdsubscriptions have to be deleted manually. The deletion of thedependent subscription generators should also be transported to thetarget system. Also here the marking for deletion of a subscriptiongenerator will ensure that the generated objects will be deleted andafterwards also the generator. If the marking for deletion of a subscription generator will not betransported then the system has to set this flag automatically. Else itwould not be possible to start the generation for the publication to bedeleted.> |
