Diagnosis
You are trying to delete a subscription. The deletion is denied,because the subscription is protected by a subscription generator.

Procedure
Ensure that the subscription is no longer needed. A deletedsubscription will be recreated by the subscription agent, if the subsc
ription is necessary for an active generator. If the subscription hasto be deleted, do the following:

• Open the Administration Console (transaction SMOEAC) and select the
object type Subscription Agent. Search for the subscriptiongenerator protecting the subscription and check that the subscriptionis no longer needed.

• Change to edit mode, deactivate the checkbox for subscriptions in
Protect Generated Objects and save your changes. Now, it ispossible to delete the subscription.

• If the protection of generated objects is needed, you have to mark the
subscription checkbox in the subscription generator maintenance screenagain.
