Diagnosis You tried to delete a potential criteria field for a replicationobject. In your case this was not possible, because the field hadalready been saved and therefore generated before. Procedure If it is necessary to delete the field, you have to delete thereplication object and create it again without the potential criteriafield in question. A replication object should only be deleted in atest system. This results in a transport request which has to bereleased in order to update the production system. Perform thefollowing steps: Delete all subscriptions in the test system relevant for thereplication object to be deleted. Wait until the realignment has finished (transaction SMOHQUEUE). Delete the publications assigned to your replication object. If there are interlinkages that contain your replication object, deletethese interlinkages, too. Note that interlinkages can only exist for replication objects of typeintelligent>. If intelligent dependent replication objects are defined for yourreplication object, perform steps 1 to 4 also for these intelligentdependent replication objects. Note that intelligent dependent replication objects can only exist forreplication objects of type intelligent>. Delete the replication object. If the replication object has dependentreplication objects, these will be automatically deleted by the deletefunctionality of the Administration Console. Note that dependent replication objects can only exist for replicationobjects of type intelligent>. Create your replication object anew with the necessary potentialcriteria fields. Ensure that also all other deleted replication objectsare newly created and that the dependencies between the replicationobjects are the same as before. Dependencies are: dependent orintelligent dependent replication objects or interlinkages. Recreate the deleted publications. Recreate the deleted subscriptions and assign them to your test sites. Test the subscriptions on your test system. If the tests are successful, delete the subscriptions in yourproduction system for all publications that have been deleted in yourtest system. The publications in the production and test systems areusually the same. Wait until the realigment has finished. Release the transport requests in order to transport your changes tothe production system. Create the necessary subscriptions in your production system. |
