Diagnosis In order to generate sites, the corresponding site type information hasto be provided. Requirements:
- the site type has to be generation relevant (see site provider table
SMW1SPRVDR) . The generation relevance of a site type requires theavailability of certain function modules (especially a function modulereturning the site attributes in the format required by theSubscription Agent, see documentation).
- you have to specify the site attributes to be used for site generation
(here the Subscription Agent framework calls the above-mentionedfunction module).
- optionally, if allowed by the site type: specification of the
activation status (active/inactive) of the sites to be created. In this case the subscription generator is configured to create activesites although the site type supports only inactive sites.System Response The site creation mechanism should prevent that sites of illegal siteactivation state are created. You should nonetheless check whethersites of the specified site type have been created in an illegalactivation state or have not been created at all. For sites in anillegal activation state data transfer or queue handling may not work.Messages may get posted to queues although there are no services tohandle them. Procedure Check whether the site type definition has been changed or a change hasbeen transported into the system after the set up of the SubsacriptionAgent. Site type information for site creation can be separately set on eachclient. The entries are not transported and can be updated whennecessary. The site activation flag may not be changeable in this case, however. Note that changes in the site type definition (eg. changes of the siteattributes) do not affect previously created sites. If there are siteswith illegal activation status, these have to be deleted or adjusted.
