SAP Message RT637 - Number of released jobs that are waiting to be executed

Diagnosis
Number of released jobs on an application server that are to beexecuted, but for which there are no free background work processes.

System Response
The two nodes Utilization and ServerSpecificQueueLength
display whether there is a serious bottleneck in backgroundprocessing. The optimal situation is a high usage and a small queuelength.
A high usage and high values for the length of the wait queue show thatyour system could not fulfill the background processing demand duringthe alert period.

Procedure
If Utilization and ServerSpecificQueueLength repeatedlyraise alerts, you should increase the background processing capacity:

  • Set the number of work processes for background processing with the
    • system parameter rdisp/wp_no_btc.
