This monitoring tree element (MTE) provides information on theperformance of the enqueue client in SAP application servers. Thisclient is responsible for routing requests to the enqueue service inapplication servers other than the one that offers the enqueue service.(Work processes access the enqueue service directly in the applicationserver that offers this service.)
The enqueue service lets applications lock data for exclusive use.Locking data while it is being used prevents changes to the data inparallel, which would result in inconsistencies in the data.
