Diagnosis
The current workbook contains settings that do not allow you to createor change variable variants. This is not possible if a data provider isselected as a reference unit for the variable variants and the workbookcontains more than one data provider.

Procedure
You can change the variants of the leading data provider by opening thecorresponding query individually in the workbook and adjusting thevariants there.
If you are authorized to edit the workbook, you might be able to changethe settings for the reference unit of the variable variants. You can dothis in the workbook settings on the "Variables" tab page.
