Diagnosis When 3.x workbooks are upgraded, the query areas, such as the resultset, navigation block, and text elements, are converted to thecorresponding design items in the 7.0 workbook. Similarly, the exceptiondefinition cell area is converted to the list of exceptions design item. However, this conversion was not possible because of errors thatoccurred. System Response Only the exception definition cell area is not upgraded and converted. All other relevant areas are converted and the workbook is partiallyupgraded. Procedure This could have been caused by corrupt data in the 3.x workbook. Werecommend that you open the workbook in the 3.x Analyzer and checkwhether it is possible to refresh the workbook. If you can refresh theworkbook successfully, deleting and reinserting the exception definitionin the workbook might help. You can do this by choosing Layout>--> Display Exceptions> in the BEx toolbar menu. Save the workbookagain and try upgrading it again in the 7.0 Analyzer. If you cannot refresh the workbook successfully in the 3.x Analyzer, theworkbook is probably corrupt and needs to be repaired or recreated. If you can refresh the workbook successfully in the 3.x Analyzer, butthe problem still occurs in the 7.0 Analyzer, you need to manuallyadjust the list of exceptions design item. |
