Description:
The interrelation between the (negative) SIDs of the hierarchy nodes ofall hierarchies of the characteristic and the node names are encoded inthe K table for a characteristic. The SID characteristicvalues are also stored in the OSID field for characteristicnodes, that is, hierarchy nodes, whose node name is the characteristicvalue of a different characteristic.
The system uses the K table when texts for hierarchy nodes needto be displayed. A query may crash if there are missing entries in theK, table or if non-existant SIDs appear in the OSID field.

Repairs:
The K table can be repaired in the repair mode.
