Description This test checks whether the values for the navigation attributes of acharacteristic (in the master data table P or Q (according totime-dependency)) also exist in the SID> table of the navigationattribute. For this purpose, the number of entries in the master datatable (P or Q tables) for the characteristic are initially comparedwith the number of entries in the X table, whose navigation attributeSID> occurs in the SID> table of the navigationattribute. If these numbers are not the same, then the excess entriesare specified, and the first 50 are issued. Based on this procedure, the test runs quickly.Note: Inconsistencies between the P and X or between the Q and Y tables arerevealed with this test. In contrast to the test "Compare the Size of the P and X Tables withthe Q and Y Tables", this test gives information about which navigationattribute is the source for inconsistency between the tables. An inconsistency leads to incorrect numbers in reporting: Missingentries operate like (invisable) filters; the case of having moreentries in the X than in the P table or having more entries in the Ythan in the Q table should not happen and points to severeinconsistencies. Possible cause: System errors when deleting masterdata. Repairs An inconsistency can be repaired. |
