Statistics can be written for all access to cache elements. To avoid anegative impact on performance, all statistics for the runtime of anavigation step of a query are gathered and are only written to thedatabase once the navigation step has been completed.
For error analysis purposes however, it is sometimes preferential towrite the entries to the database directly, rather than waiting untilthe step is complete before writing them. For performance reasons, thisshould not be your default setting.
