SAP Message RSPLS084 - BI lock server: Server '&1' not active or does not exist

Diagnosis
In transaction RSPLSE for the administration of the BI lock server, itwas specified that the server should manage the locks with the name '
V1'. this server does not yet exist or is inactive.
This situation can also arise after the BW system has been copied. Whenthe system is copied, table RSPLS_LOCK_METHS, which contains the servername for the lock check or the server name with the lock table, is alsocopied. This table cannot however be modified by means of installation,upgrades, or transports because the table has delivery class 'L'.

System Response
The BI lock server cannot manage locks.

Procedure for System Administration

  • If server '&V1&' is not active, launch it.

  • If the server name is no longer correct after the system was copied,
    • adjust it in transaction RSPLSE.
