Diagnosis
Characteristic &1& is a document property and must be deleted. Or, itcould be that the "Characteristic is Document Property" checkbox hasbeen deactivated, and the characteristic is activated.
The document attribute for characteristic &V1& cannot be deleted afteractivating or deleting characteristic &V1&. The attribute has eitherthe technical name /BI0/
(SAP objects) or /BIC/
(Customer objects).

System Response
The characteristic cannot be activated or deleted.

Procedure
Call up transaction SE16 for table SDOKMIA. When the document attributeappears, select it by entering the technical name of the documentattribute in the third ATTRIBUTE field. Also enter BW* in the firstIO_CLASS field.
Choose Execute. Select all entries in the hitlist and choose TableEntry -> Delete All. You are now able to activate or delete thecharacteristic.
