Compression of historical transaction data records
If you set the indicator No Marker Updating, thecompression will result in no markers are adjusted. Use thisfunction to visualize changes to non-cumulatives that are earlier intime than the non-cumulative initialization. When you load and compresshistorical transaction data records, keep the following in mind:

• Before compression, InfoCubes that were loaded into the historical
transaction data could display incorrect results. Theseinconsistencies are only corrected by the compression.

• After loading historical transaction data records into an InfoCube, you
get the corresponding incorrect data. All the incorrectaggregates are therefore deactivated during a compression run and thenrecreated. For performance reasons we recommend that you deactivateaggregates before a compression run with historical data and recreatethem again manually after the compression.

• You may not handle non-cumulative initializations as historical
transaction data; this results in the compression run terminating.
