Diagnosis
The following types of BIA indexes exist:

• Normal (ICB): The full star schema of the InfoCube is reproduced on the
BIA server.

• Flat (ICF): The inner part of the star schema (fact and dimension tables

) is denormalized.
The standard type is "normal". Type "flat" is used only if two dimension
tables are very large. Memory consumption is higher for this type;however, this is preferable in cases like this because it reduces theamount of internal communication required for queries on the BIA server.
